Aachen Cathedral, frequently referred to as the "Imperial Cathedral" , is a Roman Catholic church in Aachen, Germany. The church is the oldest cathedral in northern Europe and was known as the "Royal Church of St. Mary at Aachen" during the Middle Ages. For 595 years, from 936 to 1531, the Aachen chapel was the church of coronation for 30 German kings and 12 queens. The church is the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Aachen.

Mit Ausnahme der euregiobahn enden alle genannten Nahverkehrslinien im Aachener Hauptbahnhof.

Das Marienhospital Aachen ist ein Krankenhaus im Aachener Stadtteil Burtscheid. Es umfasst als Akutkrankenhaus und Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der RWTH Aachen 321 Betten.

Der Bahnhof Aachen-Rothe Erde ist ein Bahnhof in Nordrhein-Westfalen an der Schnellfahrstrecke Köln–Aachen. Er befindet sich im östlichen Aachener Stadtteil Rothe Erde in Nachbarschaft zu den Aachener Stadtteilen Frankenberg, Forst und Ostviertel.GeschichteMit Eröffnung der Bahnstrecke Haaren–Aachen-Rothe Erde am 31. Dezember 1875 wurde auch der Bahnhof, der damals noch den Namen Rothe Erde trug, von der Aachener Industriebahn eröffnet. Vor allem nach dem von Adolph Kirdorf forcierten Ausbau des Aachener Hütten-Aktien-Vereins Rothe Erde diente der Bahnhof anfänglich als Übergabebahnhof für die hier angeschlossenen Gleise der verschiedenen Industriebetriebe in Rothe Erde. Als zunächst ausschließlicher Güterbahnhof stellte er Verbindungen zu den Kohlegruben im benachbarten Belgien, zum Aachener Nordkreis und zu den Steinbrüchen in Stolberg her. Zehn Jahre nach der Eröffnung wurde mit der Vennbahn die Verbindung über Monschau und Sankt Vith nach Luxemburg aufgenommen und der Bahnhof dadurch an die dortigen ARBED-Stahlwerke verknüpft. Zugleich wurde das neue Bahnbetriebswerk Aachen-Rothe Erde gebaut.
