My name is Jarrod Jackson Iam 23 years old. I study Pre-Medicine in the field of Biology and Chemistry at The University of Tennessee Chattanooga. I have been given an opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad to Germany and gain a cultural perspective of the World. While in Germany I will be studying Biological Sciences in one of the most influential countries in the field. I will be living In Germany for 6 Months while attending classes at Leibniz Universitat Hannover as an exchange student through International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). As an African American male I am among the lowest minority of international students and I wish this to change. I can attest that not having money should not be the reason hindering this lifetime experience, and that scholarships are available. This opportunity would not have been possible without the help and support of the International UTC scholarship, the UTC Diversity scholarship, the Annette Kade scholarship, and last but not least The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Through the institute of International Exchange and Department of State of The United States of America I am able to experience Germany and gain not only a great education but a cultural experience of a lifetime.
