Garmisch Family and MWR
The Garmisch Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Division is comprised of a wide range of programs and services centered in and around the Bavarian Community of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Within the USAG Garmisch footprint, we support units of the Marshall Center, the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, the NATO School at Oberamergau and many other activities scattered throughout Southern Bavaria. Our goal is to provide high quality community service and recreation programs for personnel assigned to the USAG Garmisch and those visitors who come here to enjoy all that the area has to offer. We make it a priority that to ensure that the morale, esprit de corps, mental well-being and physical fitness of our service members, civilians and their families are the best they can be. The Garmisch FMWR is an award-winning innovator when it comes to providing affordable services and family activities for the Garmisch community and guests, from the Wonderful Wednesday after school ski program for kids to the 4th of July County Fair, the Garmisch FMWR team is always there to help.
